The Inspiration Behind Castle & Gregory

Inspired by the world travels of both David and Miles, Castle & Gregory draws upon a global archive of designs to reproduce heritage-inspired pieces for the modern age. Finds which have set the pace for Castle & Gregory's inventory range from a 1940's table discovered at a brocante in The Pay De La Loire, to a bijou, 1950's cocktail chair found at a New York auction house - the inspiration for The Tomkins occasional chair. A passion for travel and furniture design see's both David and Miles' making regular pilgrimages to antique fairs all over Europe; always on the look-out for lost treasures and love-worn upholstery to inspire Castle & Gregory designs.

"You could call Castle & Gregory our adventurous side. It's where we let our ideas run wild. We like to think of the brand as an archive where each piece has a story to tell, a revival of forgotten designs inspired by our love of travel. Be it a summer in France or a trip to Boston."
