The competition or prize draw (as applicable) is open to all UK Mainland residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter (which for the avoidance of doubt may be Castle and Gregory Limited and/or other third parties as advertised in relation to the specific competition / prize draw), their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition / prize draw, and where “UK Mainland” means those parts of England, Scotland and Wales that are accessible from London without crossing water. These are the General Terms and Conditions that apply to all competitions / prize draws. Any additional terms and conditions that apply to specific competitions / prize draws are as advertised in relation to those specific competitions / prize draws.  

1. The General Terms and Conditions which apply to all competitions / prize draws are: 

(a)       By entering, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions or where the Promoter reasonably believes you have acted or may act in a detrimental manner towards any of the brands or products involved in the competition / prize draw. 

(b)       The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind or if for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, the Promoter does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid for entry into the competition / prize draw. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason;

(c)       Where entries are limited to one entry per personor one entry per household, multiple entries will be disqualified.

(d)       Entries received after the closing date and time will not be counted, valid, accepted or considered for the competition / prize draw; 

(e)       All entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.

(f)         By submitting an entry and any accompanying material, the you agree to:

(i)         assign to the Promoter all intellectual property rights in your entry with full title guarantee; and 

(ii)       waive all moral rights, in and to your entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

(g)       All entries must:

(i)        be your own original work and lawfully submitted;

(ii)       be factually accurate and your own genuinely held belief;

(iii)       be complete;

(iv)       be original and not photocopies; 

(v)        not be misspelt, inaudible, or incomprehensible;

(vi)       not be completed by third parties or in bulk;

(vii)      not be defamatory or likely to give rise to an allegation of defamation;

(viii)    not be offensive, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory or deceptive; and  

(ix)       not be likely to cause offence, embarrassment or annoyance to others.

(h)       The prize for the winner is non-negotiable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered; 

(i)         If the winner does not respond and the prize remains unclaimed after 28 days of notification (or withinthe timeline specified inthe advertised terms of the competition / prize draw, if different), the Promoter may dispose of the prize as they wish with no liability to the winner for such action.

(j)         The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so; 

(k)        The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition / prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it; 

(l)         The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

(m)       Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

(n)       Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the competition / prize draw which may include the publication of your name, county and photograph in any media.

(o)       Your personal data may be passed on to third party organisations insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize, unless otherwise stated in the advertised terms of the specific competition / prize draw.

(p)       Your personal data will not be passed on to the named third party partner on the competition / prize draw for their marketing purposes unless you have consented to this during the course of entry into the competition / prize draw, in which case your personal data will be held by the named third party partner subject to their privacy policy, which you should familiarise yourself with.

(q)       The competition / prize draw will be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute or claim howsoever arising.


2. The advertised terms of the specific competition / prize draw will state (among other matters): 

(a)       Whether the competition / prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary or whether entry is conditional on an act, such as the purchase of a product, upon which you will be automatically entered into the competition / prize draw;

(b)       How entries are to be submitted, for example:

whether entries must be submitted via a website address or by post or by email or in our showroom, and include details of the relevant address(es);

(c)       Whether entries are limited to one entry per personor one entry per household;

(d)       What the opening and closing dates and times are;

(e)       How the winner will be chosen and the draw date;    

(f)         What prize the winner will receive; 

(g)       How the winner will be notified and the time deadline and method by which the winner must claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within the prescribed deadline of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited;

(h)       When and how the prize will be sent to the winner; 

(i)         The supplier of the prize; and

(j)         How you can obtain details of the winner’s name and county.
