Bottles at a Flea Market

Castle and Gregory furniture designs are inspired by a treasure trove of vintage finds; discovered by founders Miles and David over their many years of global travel. Cherry picking those pieces from dusty corners of antique barns, Brocantes and flea markets to frequenting auction houses to snap up forgotten treasures. It’s not unusual to see David on his way back from France with a love-worn armchair strapped to a trailer or for Miles to drive the 200 odd miles down to Somerset to buy a single leg from a long-forgotten table – just because it has the perfect mouldings. Although pieces are new, each one has been based on an archive of design heritage and we’ve had so much fun finding the inspiration for each one! Our industrial storage pieces will sit happily next to original items or offer a point of a difference in a more contemporary home.

In the spirit of the true explorer and for the die-hard thrill of the chase we’ve collated our top six famous flea markets of the world. So set your alarm for an early start and get your best bartering head on, as we take a whistle stop tour of where’s hot to shop, be it a vintage trinket to dress an industrial storage cabinet or a stack of mismatched crockery to adorn your industrial style dining table.
